In a clash of two unbeaten teams, Guyana recorded a thumping eight-wicket win over Trinidad and Tobago to maintain a clean slate in the Regional Under-19, 50-over competition. The Guyanese, now in sight of retaining the title won last year, have now registered five wins from as many games.

Chasing 111, Guyana lost just two wickets, knocking off the target in just 21.5 overs. Opener Raymond Perez struck an unbeaten 47, which included five fours and a six. Perez and Joshua Persaud, who made 44, put Guyana on course for the win with an opening stand of 78.

Earlier, Trinidad and Tobago mustered only 110 with Bhaskar Yadram claiming 3-19. Ashmead Nedd and Richie Loaknauth took two wickets apiece.

Kristian Kallicharran topscored with 48. With the win, the Guyanese are now absolutely sure of claiming the double after the winning the Three-day competition a few weeks ago.
