Speeding minibus plunges into trench

Approximately 11 persons were rushed for medical attention after a Route 32 minibus plunged into a trench on the West Coast of Demerara (WCD) on Sunday afternoon.
News Room understands that the minibus, bearing registration number, BVV 4347, was speeding on the roadway when it lost control around the sharp turn at De Kindren and plunged into a nearby trench.
The incident occurred around 16:00hrs.
The driver and 10 passengers were taken for medical attention; the extent of their injuries was not immediately known.
The minibus remains submerged and the engine is still running.
