Cop under close arrest after found with pistol in Crotch

A Police Constable who was on sick leave is now under close arrest after he was found with a concealed weapon.

According to a police report, the Constable was fond gambling under a shed a Den Amstel on the West Coast of Demerara “with persons of ill repute.”

A search was conducted and revealed a .32 pistol with (10) live matching rounds, concealed in his crotch.

He was subsequently placed under close arrest the police said.

The investigation is in progress.
