Three persons, ages 22 and 18 years, were this morning arrested on the Leonora Public Road, West Coast Demerara (W.C.D) with an unlicensed pistol and matching rounds.
According to police information, the suspects were travelling in a hire car at about 00:05hrs when ranks stopped and searched the vehicle.An unlicensed .32 pistol with magazine and five live matching rounds were found under the driver’s seat.
Also, two live .32 ammunition were found in the pocket of one of two passengers of the vehicle.
The men are from La Grange, West Bank Demerara, Uitvlugt, West Coast Demerara and Diamond, East Bank Demerara respectively. They are in custody and assisting with the investigation.
