A 30-year-old woman appeared before City Magistrate Judy Latchman on Wednesday charged with exposing nude photographs of her ex-boyfriend.

Nekita Cooper of North East La Penitence, denied the charge which alleged that between January 1, 2017 and July 18, 2017 without excuse, she exposed to the public, obscene photographs of Julius Brown with intent to corrupt public view.

The court heard that Cooper and Brown were in a relationship for the past five years but it ended in February; however, the woman circulated nude photos from her phone of her ex-boyfriend on social media.

Brown, who was present in court, explained that the action has affected his life, physically and mentally since he was forced to drop out from a summer class at the University of Guyana.

He further stressed that Cooper had taken the photos of him while he was asleep, noting that the woman had placed her underwear on his head in one of the photographs.

With no objection raised by Police Prosecutor Shawn Gonsalves, the Magistrate released Cooper on $100,000 bail and adjourned the matter until September 5, 2017.
