A string of Caribbean islands were left reeling by one of the most dangerous storms ever seen in the Atlantic Ocean.

At least 24 people were known to have died in the Caribbean as a result of Irma.

Many islands were still assessing the damage, even as they prepare for the arrival of another major storm, Hurricane Jose which has already strengthened to Category 4.
