Linden man caught with cocaine at CJIA

A resident of Linden, who was an outgoing passenger on a flight to the United States of America, is now in police custody after he was found in possession of 1,828 grams of cocaine.

A police report noted that at about 16:35hrs on Monday, ranks of the Police Narcotics Branch, intercepted the passenger at the Cheddi Jagan International Airport (CJIA) and conducted a search of his luggage during which they found the cocaine.

The suspect, who has given investigators two addresses, one at Kara Kara, Linden and Ozone Park, USA, is being processed for court.
