Building on fire next to PM’s residence

Fire is currently ripping through the Risan Building on Main Street, Georgetown, located just next door to the residence of Prime Minister, Moses Nagamootoo.

Firefighters are currently on the scene, trying to contain the fire to just the one building. A young man who lives in the house told radio personality, Gordon Moseley on the scene that the family had just returned from the Cheddi Jagan International Airport when they noticed the fire.

The young man also told Moseley that efforts are being made to locate his father and it is believed that he is trapped inside the building.
