President David Granger is slated to meet with the President of ExxonMobil Exploration Company, Stephen Greenlee on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly in New York. According to a statement from the Ministry of the Presidency (MotP), the meeting is expected to take place later today.
The statement said President Granger already had two bilateral meetings on the sidelines of the 72nd Regular Session of the United Nations General Assembly. The first with the President of Costa Rica, Luis Guillermo Solís and the second with a delegation from the Republic of Malta led by that country’s Prime Minister Joseph Muscat.
Granger is also expected to attend the UN’s Private Sector Forum and a high-level meeting on the Prevention of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse.
The General Assembly is the main deliberative, policy making and representative organ of the United Nations. Comprising all 193 Member States of the UN, it provides a unique forum for multilateral discussion of international issues including peace and security.
