Two young men were apprehended at about 20:00hrs last night at Grove on the East Bank Demerara, after they were found acting in a suspicious manner.
According to the police, a search was conducted on a 23-year-old interior worker of Wismar, Linden by ranks on a motorcycle patrol in the Grove Police Station District, and a .38 revolver with six live rounds were found in his possession.
A search was then conducted on his companion, 19 years, a student of a training institution and resident of Block “Y”, Grove Housing Scheme, E.B.D., when another .38 revolver without ammunition was found.
They are being processed for court.
