Female motorcyclist injured in accident with drunken Cop

A 44 – year old woman was Sunday afternoon severely injured after she was knocked off her motorcycle by a Police Constable who was driving under the influence of alcohol.

She has been identified as Gem Simone Hall of lot 22 Walker Terrace Street, Castello Housing Scheme.

The Police Constable has since been arrested and authorities say all  documents for  motor car PSS 4303, which the officer was driving, are expired.

According to a police statement, the car was proceeding north on the western side of the western carriageway on the Ruimveldt Public Road allegedly at a fast rate when it collided with the motorcycle, CS 145.

As a result of the impact, the motorcyclist sustained several injuries and was rushed to the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation  where she is said to be in a stable  condition.

A breathalyzer test was administered and the cop was found to be over the legal limit of alcohol consumption.
