Caterer robbed of car at gunpoint at Bourda Market

Police are on the hunt for three men, who reportedly robbed a 36-year-old Caterer of his silver-grey Toyota Premio motorcar, PTT 8405 on North Road, Bourda on Monday evening.

According to a police report, the robbery occurred at about 19:10hrs at North Road between Alexander and Bourda Streets. Investigations revealed that the victim of Bent Street, Werk-en-Rust, Georgetown and his three male friends were heading to Bourda Market and upon arrival, the victim parked his car.

When they exited the car, they were confronted by the three men, one of whom was armed with a handgun and who demanded the key for the motorcar. The victim refused to hand over the keys following which he was gun butted and subsequently fell to the ground. The victim’s three friends ran away while the armed bandit picked up the car keys and escaped with the car and victim’s cellular phones.
