Accused rapist escapes from Lusignan prison
A man who is charged with rape has escaped from Lusignan Prison, Director of Prisons (ag), Gladwin Samuels has revealed.
The prisoner has been identified as 35-year-old Dellon Blake, who was admitted to the prison on July 24, 2017. Samuels said that he has a ‘tear drop’ tattoo on the left side of his face and “cuts cabbage for a living.”
According to the Prison Director, he was informed on Wednesday morning that the prisoner escaped from Holding Bay 2 of the prison, however, he did not state how the prisoner managed to escape.
At the time of his admission to the prison, Blake’s address was given as Kumuni Creek Demerara River, West Bank Demerara.
