Tough loss for Guyana in 3-on-3 basketball at SA Youth C’ship
Guyana lost to Ecuador 11-13 in the first 3-on-3 basketball game at the South American Youth Championship in Venezuela.
Guyana always seemed within range to pull off the win, but fell just short as time ran out on the team being marshalled by former Georgetown Amateur Basketball Association (GABA) President Andrew Hercules.
Hercules pointed out that coaching is not allowed during the game and he was warned once for trying to communicate with the players during the game.
The Guyanese will play Venezuela on Friday (October 6) and must win by three points if they are to advance to the medal round of the tournament.
