A 65-year-old United States citizen, who on Wednesday confessed to trafficking cocaine, changed his plea on Thursday after he was informed by Magistrate Fabayo Azore that the charge attracts a mandatory three years imprisonment or more.

Allen Murdock of Florida, USA has now denied that on September 30, 2017, he had 1.5 grams of cocaine in his possession for the purpose of trafficking.

The unrepresented man told the court, “I didn’t have no cocaine… it’s the corrupt cops.” As a result of his not guilty plea, Murdock was remanded until October 25, 2017.

According to reports, on the day in question the police raided a known drug yard in Kitty, Georgetown and found Murdock sitting on a bench; they conducted a search on him and found a crazy glue tube in his pocket with the cocaine inside.

He had told the court that he is a Christian Missionary and has never been charged with any offence before.
