Minibus driver charged with raping school girl

Minibus driver, Quacy Sealey, also known as “Cayenne” was on Friday charged with raping a 15-year-old school girl.

Sealey, who operates on the route 40 minibus park, appeared before Magistrate Judy Latchman at the Georgetown Magistrate’s Court where he denied that during February 2017 at Sheriff Street, Georgetown he engaged in sexual activity with a child under the age of 16.

Magistrate Latchman released Sealey on $200,000 bail and adjourned the matter to October 9, 2017. He was represented by Attorney, Tiffany Jeffery

The court heard that Sealey and the teen were involved in a relationship; it is alleged that he would pick up the teen after school and take her to a hotel.

The matter was reported to the police by her parents after she became pregnant. The age of consent is 16, thus the case is one of statutory rape.
