Gunmen invade Suria Manufacturing

Police are on the hunt for three men, who allegedly robbed an employee and a customer at Suria Manufacturing at gunpoint on Saturday morning.

According to a police release, the armed robbery occurred at approximately 8:30hrs at the company’s Lot 70 Industrial Site, Eccles, East Bank Demerara location by three men in a Silver Grey 212 motorcar.

News Room understands that the staff and customers were held at gunpoint; a customer, who police identified as a 33-year-old accountant, Navindra Pooran was robbed of his gold ring valued $60,000 and one Galaxy cell phone valued $30,000.

The company’s cashier, 20-year-old Hemraj Pooran was relieved of an undisclosed amount of cash, the property of Suria Manufacturing.
