Notorious criminal Royden Williams recaptured

Police have confirmed that wanted prison escapee, Royden Williams was recaptured this evening in Weldaad, West Coast Berbice.

News Room was reliably informed that Williams was intercepted and recaptured at approximately 20:00hrs traveling in a public minibus heading east. Police said he was found dreadlocked, alone and unarmed. News Room was however informed that the criminal is not dreadlocked but in fact, his hair is “cut low.” At the time of his capture, he was wearing a T-shirt and boxers.

Williams escaped from the Camp Street Prison on July 09, 2017, and is believed to be the mastermind behind the prison riot. He was last spotted on August 31, 2017, in Linden. Williams was in the company of Uree Varswyck, another prison escapee, who was shot dead during a Joint Services intelligence-led operation at Central Amelia’s Ward, Linden. According to a police statement, Williams managed to escape on foot.

Royden Williams aka Mark Royden Durant aka ‘Smallie’ was on death row for the Bartica Massacre.
