A 36-year-old woman was on Wednesday charged with receiving stolen money from her boyfriend, who is the main suspect in the murder of two elderly women.

Seeta Khan of Cooper Street, Albouystown appeared before Magistrate Fabayo Azore at the Georgetown Magistrate’s Court, charged with receiving $60,000 from Christopher Persaud also known as Imran Khan and Christopher Narine between October 1 and October 3, 2017, knowing that the money belonged to Constance Fraser.

The monies were taken from the home of Constance Fraser, 89, and Phylis Caesar, 77 during a home invasion at their South and Albert Street home. The women were found dead, bound and gagged on October 3.

Khan did not have legal representation and denied the charge; she told the court that her boyfriend took her shopping for clothing with the money. Khan further pointed out that she did not receive the money, noting that her boyfriend handled the money.

The Magistrate released Khan on $25,000 bail and adjourned the matter to October 25, 2017.
