Ambris scores century on rain-shortened day
Sunil Ambris fourth First-Class ton was the highlight of a rain-shortened second day of the opening four-day ‘Test’ between West Indies ‘A’ and Sri Lanka ‘A’ on Thursday in Jamaica.
Rain stopped play for the day 40 minutes after lunch with West Indies ‘A’ on 364-8 after resuming on 232-4. Ambris and Vishaul Singh, who started the day, extended their overnight partnership to 136 before Singh fell short of a hundred, compiling a solid 81.
Ambris went on to complete his ton before being dismissed for 106. Rakheem Cornwall made 36, while Malinda Pushpakumara has so far picked up 3-104.
