Guyana’s Women fell to Trinidad and Tobago on Saturday morning to finish sixth in the Pan Am Indoor Hockey Cup at the Cliff Anderson Sports Hall.

Playing on the final day of the tournament, the Guyanese had a tough time getting into any rhythm as they went down early in the first half with a goal from Alana Lewis in the 10th minute.

The hosts showed some fight in the closing minutes of the first half but, were unable to capitalise on a few good runs at goal. The second half was much of the same with Trinidad adding to their lead with a goal from Arielle Williams in the 23rd minute.

However, Guyana managed to pull back a goal in the 26th through a penalty stroke from Marzana Fiedtkou. Blair Wynne then sealed the deal for the T&T as Guyana could not find the equaliser.
