Skeletal remains found in abandoned NA school compound
The Police in ‘B’ Division are trying to ascertain the identity of skeletal remains which were found in the compound of an abandoned school in Savanah Park New Amsterdam on Monday, October 23, 2017.
Police Commander, Linden Alves told News Room that at about 13:30hrs, the police were called and informed of the remains, which were discovered by persons working in the area.
News Room was told several persons were clearing the compound of the school, which has been out of operation for over four years when they discovered the remains in a clump of bushes.
According to the Commander, the state of the skeletal remains suggest that it has been at the location for years as no clothing or other identifiable materials were found nearby.
He, however, added that ranks from the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) of ‘B’ Division are going through missing persons’ report to ascertain the identity of the remains. Investigations are ongoing.
