Decomposed body found in Corentyne house
The partially decomposed body of a Corentyne man was discovered hanging in his Fyrish village home on Wednesday, November 01, 2017.

He has been identified as 50-year-old Dewan Ramnarine, who was last seen on the morning of October 30 at a neighbour’s house, purchasing food items.
His wife, 53-year-old Annetta Bridgelall, moved out of their home several months ago after she became sick. News Room understands that the woman relocated to her family’s home which is a street away from her husband’s house.
A neighbour noted that he alerted other residents about a stench emanating from Ramnarine’s house. One of the man’s relatives was contacted and he visited the house and called out to Ramnarine but received no response. It was at this point that the relative attempted to gain access to the house but the door was locked from the inside. The relative then contacted the police, who broke into the house and made the discovery.
The body was removed by undertakers and taken to the Port Mourant Hospital mortuary awaiting a post-mortem examination. Investigations are ongoing.
