International Relations student Elsie Harry been named the University of Guyana’s Valedictorian for 2017.
Elsie, 25, says she is “overwhelmed” at having been selected.
“Those of you who know me, know that hard work is my motto along with being kind, helpful, fighting for the causes that I believe in and making a difference in this world in any small way that I can,” she said in a Facebook post, adding that this has been manifested in her personal, professional and academic life.
She thanked her support system.
“I hope you know how much I sincerely appreciate every smile, every hug, every good wish, every act of kindness, every gift, every word of encouragement,” she stated.
