Two days of dealing with gruelling apparatuses ended with Ominis Williams walking away with the top singles title at the GTM Fitness Expo that concluded on Sunday evening at the Cliff Anderson Sports Hall.

Williams racked up 290 points for the win and had to complete three sets of dead lift extensions along with lounges in a 12 minutes time span to get the job done. Kishan Baul finished second with 285 points, while Colin Reddock was third with 275 points.

On the distaff side, Tonica Archer took the top spot with 290 points by completing the same apparatuses on Sunday evening as well. Melissa Stewart finished second with 255 points, while Jamila Gasper captured third with 253 points.

Meanwhile, in the pairs competition, fitness guru Dillon Mahadeo and his teammate Semonica Duke racked up 300 points for the first place win in the tournament.

After the event, Mahadeo and Duke credited hard work and dedication as well as teamwork and motivation as part of the catalyst for their win in the competition.

Timonthy McAndrew and Shawnell Warner took second on 280 points, while Stephen Fraser and Delice Adonis finished third on 265 points.

In the ‘strongman’ competition where the men had to pull an excavator, Donovan Dongo took the top spot with 395 points to finish ahead of Julio Sinclair on 375 and Carlos Peterson-Grifith on 350. The prizes were distributed to all fitness men and women at a presentation ceremony held after the event.
