A fire in the Port Kaituma sub-district of Region One, suspected to be arson, this morning completely destroyed three buildings including two businesses.
Michael April, who was sleeping in a hammock near where the fire started at about 05:00hrs on Tuesday, told News Room that he felt the heat, which emanated from the building. He noticed the fire and then alerted other persons in the area.
It was disclosed that two of the buildings- a bond and a house, belong to a businessman, Mr Gamil who sells gasoline and diesel.
“It [the fire] start like in the building and nobody don’t know how it start but it start in the building,” he told News Room adding that no one was injured. A truck was also destroyed by the fire.
