    Two nationals of the Dominican Republic, who were intercepted during a raid at the Rio Nightclub were charged with overstating in Guyana.

    Arelis Encarnacion, 37 and Rosanna Luciano,22 both appeared before Magistrate Fabayo Azore at the Georgetown Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday, November 15, 2017, charged separately.

    The charge against Encarnacion read that between April 27, 2017, and November 12, 2017, at Georgetown, she failed to comply to conditions which she was granted to stay in Guyana from March 22 to April 26, 2017.

    Luciano is charged with overstaying in Guyana from April 8, 2017, to November 7, 2017, after being permitted to stay from March 8 to April 7, 2017.

    Through an interpreter, they pleaded guilty to the charge and were fined $30,000 or three- months imprisonment. The women were busted following a raid at the popular strip club on November 12.
