23-Y-O brutally chopped, suspect in custody

A 23-year-old woman is now hospitalised after she was attacked and brutally chopped about her body on Monday night.
Commander of ‘D’ Division, Leslie James told the News Room that the woman, Narinie Gopaul of 74 Railway View, Meten-Meer-Zorg, West Coast Demerara (WCD) was attacked at about 23:00hrs. The Commander added that he is not in receipt of information stating that the suspect is known to her.
The woman was chopped to her arms and other parts of her body.
The suspect was subsequently arrested.
Gopaul’s condition is listed as stable at the Georgetown Public Hospital.
