Gun found in trench leading to Corentyne Rice Mill


The Police in ‘B’ Division are trying to locate the owner of a firearm, which was found in a shallow trench leading to a Rice Mill at Number 63 Village on Tuesday, November 21, 2017.

News Room understands that a passerby discovered the weapon and alerted neighbours who rushed to the area to investigate. The police were later informed and they visited the location where retrieved the firearm.

The News Room was told that based on the condition of the firearm, it appears as though it had been in the trench for quite a while. A police source disclosed that the weapon will be sent for testing and to see whether it was used in the execution of any criminal activities.
