Decomposed body of Kitty man found on Corentyne Coast
The badly decomposed body of 58-year-old Rajendra Persaud was found at Brighton Village on the Corentyne Coast Wednesday morning.
Persaud was employed with Sterling Products Limited as a shift operator. Chief Financial Officer of the company, Deodat Indar, said that Persaud should have reported to work on November 11, 2017, but he never did and had not been seen or heard from since.
According to information reaching the News Room, the discovery was made by a passer-by, a cattle farmer, who was alerted to an obnoxious stench emanating from a clump of bushes. Upon investigation, the cattle farmer stumbled upon the badly decomposed body.
Persons in the area were alerted and the Police were called in. Persaud was identified from the bank card he was carrying. Persaud has relatives in Berbice, but they told the News Room that he did not visit them during the time he went missing.
Police investigations are continuing.
