Female Rugby player injured, hospitalised in Mexico

Abioce Heywood, playing for Guyana in the RANs 7 rugby tournament in Mexico, was injured during her final match on Sunday, November 26.

News Room understands that Heywood took a hard hit during the match and is said to be experiencing concussion like symptoms. She was transported to a nearby medical facility where she is being treated.

News Room contacted Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the Guyana Rugby Football Union, Daniel Anderson who said that the union is currently monitoring the situation but wants to be certain on the status of Heywood before making a public statement.
