A 48-year old Cambio Dealer of South Ruimveldt was Sunday morning robbed of some $450,000 in local and foreign currency by two masked men, one of whom was armed with a handgun.
Shem Nurse was robbed around 09:15hrs whilst plying his trade on America Street between Avenue of the Republic and Longden Streets.
According to information received, the perpetrators approached the dealer on a red CG motorcycle. The armed pillion rider pointed the weapon at the dealer and demanded he hand over the money, police said.
Nurse complied and the bandits escaped on the motorcycle. An investigation was launched.
