Anna Catherina man killed in accident

Police are investigating the death of 34-year-old Winston Domingo known as “buck man,” who was killed just before midnight Wednesday on the Anna Catherina Public Road, West Coast Demerara.

Police have arrested 20-year-old Ahmad Amin of Vergenoegen, East Bank Essequibo, who was reportedly speeding at the time of the accident. News Room understands that Amin was driving a white 212 – PVV 4420 – at a fast rate of speed, heading west when the car’s left side front collided with Domingo who was riding a bicycle, heading in the same direction.

Domingo, a cane-cutter, who resided in Anna Catherina, fell into the windscreen of the car before landing on the road. His bicycle broke into pieces as a result of the impact.

News Room understands that the man’s body was left for quite some time in the middle of the road before being taken to the Leonora Cottage Hospital, where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
