Off-spinner Shane Shillingford grabbed four wickets as Guyana Jaguars were dismissed for 194 against Windward Islands Volcanoes on Friday at Providence. Jaguars, resuming on 78-2 in response to Volcanoes’ first innings 117, were bowled out before tea on day two, earning a lead of 77.

Former world number one Test batsman, Shivnarine Chanderpaul, was last man out for 59 and his son Tagenarine made 36, but no other batsman got past 30. Chandrapaul Hemraj made 29 and Veerasammy Permaul 22.

The elder Chanderpaul’s knock saved the Jaguars from being knocked out cheaply, as they were reduced to 98-6 at one stage.

The 34-year-old Shillingford, playing his 123rd First-Class game, ended with 4-36, while Sherman Lewis took 3-62. The match is one of three in sixth round action of the Professional Cricket League 4-day competition.
