Man robbed of weeding machine at gunpoint
Police are on the hunt for two men who allegedly robbed 53-year-old Gary Hartog of his Stihl grass-cutter, valued $100,000.
News Room understands that the incident occurred on December 12, 2017, at approximately 06:15hrs at Second Street Albertown between Light and Cummings Street, while the victim was weeding.
According to information reaching News Room, Hartog was weeding at the said location when the two suspects rode up with a dark coloured Honda XR motorcycle from the eastern direction and stopped next to him. The pillion rider then attempted to pull away the weeding machine but the victim held onto it when the suspect pulled out a gun and pointed it at him.
Hartog released the machine and the perpetrators escaped west along the said street. Investigations are ongoing.
