Banks DIH Limited on Thursday morning joined forces with the Guyana Badminton Association (GBA) to stage the Powerade and Aqua Mist Christmas Badminton Singles, set to run from December 15-17 at the National Gymnasium, Mandela Avenue.
President of the GBA, Gokarn Ramdhani, was on hand at the beverage company to receive the sponsorship from Powerade Brand Manager Errol Nelson in the presence of Communications Manager Troy Peters and Aqua Mist Brand Manager Clive Pellew.
The annual competition is set to serve off at 17:30h on December 15 with the Open Men and Ladies Singles, followed by the Under-11, Under-15 and Under-17 Boys and Girls Singles from 10:30h the following day.
On the last day, the action will serve off at 11:00h with the category finals, followed by the presentation of prizes at 13:00h.
According to the GBA, there will also be a fund-raising bar-b-que from noon to 15:00h on the second day. “The GBA would like to thank Banks DIH for coming onboard, supporting the development of Badminton and making our final tournament for the year 2017 a great success,” the GBA said.
