Evangelist breaks out singing as morning Parliamentary session ends

A woman broke out singing “God is watching us” in the National Assembly on Thursday, December 14, 2017, as Speaker, Dr Barton Scotland suspended the morning session.

Natalie McLennan, who was sitting in the chambers behind the government’s side of the House, was quickly escorted out of the Public Buildings by security. She continued singing as she walked down the corridors.

“I am a citizen of this country and I have a right to sit in and hear what is going on in Parliament,” she told News Room.

This is the third time in less than a week that the National Assembly has been greeted with unprecedented incidents – the first being the intrusion of a female dressed as Santa Claus, who interrupted the debate of Opposition Leader, Bharrat Jagdeo and the second being the police called in to remove Parliamentarian, Bishop Juan Edghill.
