The robbery occurred on Thursday, December 14, at around 19:30hrs at East Street, between Middle and New Garden Street. Samaroo, a Construction Worker, had just arrived at his brother’s house and parked on the western side of East Street.

He exited the car and was about to enter his brother’s yard, when the gunmen approached him from behind, took away his cell phone and threw it into a yard. They then demand his car key and struck him in the face with a gun.

News Room understands that Samaroo became afraid and handed over his car keys to one of the men; the perpetrators then entered the victim’s car and drove north on East Street. Investigations are ongoing.
