3 women tied up, robbed at gunpoint in home invasion
Police are on the hunt for three men, who broke into the Lot 312 Lamaha Park, Georgetown home of three women, tied them up and robbed them of several valuables in the wee hours of Monday, December 18, 2017.
News Room understands that 46-year-old Phenila Rogers, a medical officer at Medical Arts; 50-year-old prison officer, Olivia Haymer and 23-year-old Donelle Charles, a nurse attached to the Georgetown Public Hospital (GPHC), were all asleep when Charles heard a strange noise in the lower flat at about 03:00hrs.
The nurse went to investigate when she was confronted by three masked men, two of them armed, on the stairway. They held her at gunpoint and took her back upstairs, where they woke up the two other women, tied them up with clothing and left them in a room with one of the gunmen standing guard.
Rogers lost her black handbag valued $6000, two Blu cell phones and $20,000 cash; while Haymer lost one pair of boots valued $8000, two Plum cell phones and two Lenovo tablets. The gunmen took from Charles one Samsung Galaxy S5 cell phone and $2,000 in cash.
Information reaching News Room indicates that the men gained access by breaking a door on the lower flat of the house. Investigations are ongoing.
