Kitty Cabs driver robbed of Allion motorcar

Police are investigating the armed robbery committed on 53-year-old Ramesh Persaud, a taxi driver attached to Kitty Cabs, which occurred on Sunday, December 17, 2017, on Carmichael Street, Georgetown.

According to information reaching News Room, Persaud was hired by a female who requested to be taken to Carmichael Street and upon their arrival there, Persaud was helping the passenger unload her bags when the two men, one armed, held him at gunpoint and ordered him to move away from his Toyota Allion car – HC 5024, valued $3.5M.

The two men then got into the vehicle and made good their escape east on Middle Street then south into Waterloo Street. The matter was reported to the police and an all-station message was sent out. No one has been arrested and investigations are ongoing.
