Ex-cop in custody for stealing policeman’s car

An ex-police officer, identified as Randy Charles of Red Road, Sophia, Greater Georgetown is in police custody after he crashed a 212 motorcar which he attempted to steal.

A police report stated that the motor car, PSS 7133, belonging to 32-year-old Rawle Alexander, a Police Constable, stationed at Special Branch was parked at Second Street, Alberttown with the key in the ignition as he entered a store at about 10:30hrs on Monday in his plain clothes.

It is alleged that upon leaving the store, the cop noticed Charles driving away with his car, west along Second St Alberttown at a fast rate of speed and turned South into Cummings Street, however, the rash driving by Charles caused him to collide with two vehicles which were parked on the Eastern side of Cummings Street.

There he was arrested and taken into custody.
