An accident at Houston, Greater Georgetown this afternoon has caused a major traffic jam on the East Bank of Demerara (EBD).
News Room understands that motor lorry GVV 9475 crashed into a utility pole a short distance away from the Rahaman’s Park junction.
The huge traffic buildup comes during the afternoon rush hour when persons would be heading home from work.
News Room was unable to confirm if there were any injuries.
