Police recover stolen car

The police have recovered a Toyota Allion Motorcar which was hijacked from a 27-year-old businessman at Westminster, West Bank Demerara on December 10, 2017.

The Guyana Police Force (GPF) in a statement said two males were held last Monday on the East Coast of Demerara with the vehicle which was without a number plate. After tracing the engine and chassis numbers of the vehicle, it was found to be that of the businessman.

On December 10, the victim Rajesh Lilman had just arrived home at around 22:00hrs, parked on his bridge and was about to open his gate when two men held him at gunpoint. They went into his car and drove off in a southern direction.
