Prisoner who threatened to kill President charged

A prisoner who on November 10 called the 911 emergency number on several occasions and threatened to kill the president was today charged.

Alim Ally, who is currently serving a 5 year sentence for assault, appeared before Magistrate Leron Daly at the Georgetown Magistrate’s court.

It is alleged that on November 10, he called the 911 system and threatened to kill the president. Again, on the same date it is alleged that Ally called the 911 system and threaten to kill the president and shoot up the police station.

It further alleged that on the same day he again called the system and threatened to shoot up the Brickdam police station.

He pleaded not guilty to the four charges.

Ally was remanded and the matter was transferred to  Chief Magistrate, Ann McLennan for December 21.
At the time of the incident, Ally was housed at the Lusignan Prison.
