As 24-year-old Deepak Balradj was driving south along Carmichael Street, Georgetown Thursday night, his car came under gunfire from two men, who blocked his path in a Silver Premio motorcar just after 7pm.
News Room understands that Balradj, a manager at Yokohama Trading Auto Sales, reversed into another vehicle, after two armed men exited the Premio motorcar and started shooting at his car.
The gunmen then confronted Balradj and relieved him of the $1.4M that was in his pockets and glove compartment. They then made good their escape south along Carmichael Street.
Police recovered one 9mm spent shell at the intersection of Carmichael and Middle Street and one .380 live round was found on the floor of the victim’s car. Investigations are ongoing.
