50 Y-O found with slit throat in Berbice

A 50-year-old man was on Sunday morning discovered with a slit throat in a pool of blood on his bed and police have since arrested the main suspect who admitted to committing the gruesome crime.

Dead is Anand Sukram, also known as ‘Radesh’, of Friendship Village, Corentyne Berbice.

Police said the man’s body was discovered by his 17-year-old son who went to pay him a visit.

According to a police statement, the prime suspect has been arrested and has confessed to committing the crime. Police said a second suspect is currently being sought.

Meanwhile, the body is presently at the Port Mourant Hospital mortuary awaiting a post-mortem examination.
