Jeweller robbed of $500k gold chain at wedding house

Police are on the hunt for two men who allegedly robbed 34-year-old Dandkumar Jeebo of a gold chain valued $500,000 while he was at a wedding house at Independence Boulevard, Albouystown, Georgetown.

News Room understands that the robbery occurred at approximately 01:00hrs on Wednesday, December 27, 2017.

According to reports, Jeebo, a Jeweller, was at a wedding house with family members, when two men – one of whom was armed with a gun – approached him and attempted to steal his gold band. They, however, failed to do so but managed to snatch his gold chain and escaped.

Investigations are ongoing.
