A 50-year-old resident of ‘E’ Field Sophia, Greater Georgetown is expected to appear in court next week after he reportedly admitted to the illegal possession of 1,119 grams of cannabis.
According to a police report, a party of police, stationed at an interior location, acted on information received and raided a shop at Pamela Landing, Potaro River when they found the two parcels of cannabis in a haversack.
Police said that the Sophia man was left in the care of the shop at the time and he reportedly confessed to the ownership of the drugs.
