Miner robbed of 3 gold chains in front Mackenzie Market

Police are investigating an alleged robbery under arms committed on 31-year-old Trava Campbell, a miner of lot 193 Dacoma Circle Mackenzie, Linden of three gold chains valued at $600,000.

Police said the robbery occurred on December 31, 2017, at about 21:42 hrs at the Mackenzie Market.

Investigations revealed that the victim was standing on the market pavement with his friends when three armed men walked up to him.

It is alleged that one of the suspects said, “you owe me from the bush” and pulled off the chains from Campbell’s neck. In the process, one of the suspects gun-butted the victim to his head and they calmly walked away and entered a waiting silver-grey Toyota Allion which drove off east on Pine Street Mackenzie, Linden.

Investigations are ongoing.
