PNC stalwart Sandra Adams dies
Sandra Adams, a stalwart of the People’s National Congress (PNC), the main party of the governing Coalition, has died, relatives confirmed.
She died of heart complications early this morning.
Adams served as Deputy Director of the national Community Development Council, an arm of the Ministry of Communities.
She was best known as a prominent activist of the PNC in the town of Linden. Adams was serving as Regional Chairman of the PNC in Region 10 and she was recently appointed as one of three principal secretaries of the PNC.
She served as Member of Parliament when Desmond Hoyte was Opposition Leader.
Adams recently visited China with other party members on the invitation of the China Communist party.
